American film director, best remembered for directing movies such as Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead and The Crazies. John Leguiziamo called him '6ft 5'. A 1982 news article mentioned "Romero, a solid 6-foot-4" and in 1979 "He is 6 feet 4 inches tall with a gangly gait and slight stoop.
